Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek 2: Tulips and a Garden

It's day 2 of sneak peeks for the February release from Taylored Expressions!!  This release is all about spring, St. Patrick's Day and Easter. Today I have a bouquet of tulips and a beautiful garden scene.

Be sure to check out all of the other designers starting on the Taylored Expressions blog because there is just too much for one designer to show off in just a few days.

All the products that I have used are linked at the bottom, but remember that new products aren't live until Thursday, February 4, 7 a.m. PST.

Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE blog each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.

I have two cards today - both sweet and gentle - although these products could easily go bright and cheerful too! The first is Spring Tulips. The stamp set is from a previous release, but now there's a coordinating die which gives the option of adding dimension or of placing these tulips on patterned paper.

I pulled out the Apothecary Shelf and die. It's a fairly long shelf so I only added part of it so that it fit cleanly on a vertical card. I stamped it on a woodgrain pattern and then added some shadowing. I finished the scene with some bead board embossing and patterned wallpaper. I wanted something hanging on the wall next to the tulips so used the smallest die from Label Stacklets 7 and a sentiment from Faith in Bloom

Another sweet addition with this release is the In the Garden die. I used the entire die across the card.  Added some embossed rays of sunshine, some sequin sun spots and a wonderful sentiment from Shade Tree Scripture.

I could see this die as a silhouette on a bright sunrise. Or you could use parts of the die. As you hop through all of the designers, you'll see that one used just the tree and bicycle - it's a great look!

Be sure to check out all of the other designers listed on the TE blog and remember to leave a comment while you are there for a chance to win a prize. Come back tomorrow for more sneak peeks!

I also used some tiny sequins which hopefully look like little sun spots, and a piece of narrow black and white gingham ribbon.

  3. Hello wonderful, amazing Kim! Lest you thought I've been ignoring you, please know, quite the opposite is true! I'm hanging my head in shame at being so behind in commenting; as I mentioned in a recent "poor me" post, life’s been supremely hectic, what with work, travel (which involved work…crazy amounts!), DT commitments (which I’ve fallen behind in, too) and a plethora of other stuff (including yet more travel...)! I hope that my ‘thought bubbles of love’ for all your cards have reached you, because I send them frequently. I adore, especially, the cards you've made for your special friends (the lovely wrapped flowers bouquet for Carol and the phone for your coffee buddy): they're so fortunate to have you in their lives. Your duo of Spring delights here have me smiling. The vase of flowers is ever so pretty, as is the scene you've created in the second. The sentiment: powerful...and I confess: I'm smitten with the bike!
